My School, A Temple of Learning

The temple where I received my basic knowledge is St. Agnes Central School, Mangalore.  It is an institution where primary and secondary education is imparted in English medium.  A band of teachers having command over their respective subjects educate us.  No one can dispute about their sincerity and integrity in imparting knowledge to us.  So carefully,  do they labour that we not only find it easy to grasp the subject but also get interested with more of it.  They are kind and affectionate,  we love and respect them.  In a word hardly anyone feels that he or she is away from his or her home while they are at St. Agnes Central School.

As the name suggests it is really a 'sacred' place both morally and intelectually whosoever has described it to be a temple,  rightly did so.  Here we begin the day seeking the blessings of the Almighty without any difference of caste and creed.  All of us are dipped together,  aiming at a common cause to depict unity in diversity.  Like a temple it's doors are open to one and all,  to gain knowledge to build character and to imbibe all virtues of life.

Education is a jewel carved out of a rough stone,  picked up from a deep ocean.  In simple words it means developing the power of mind through a process of continued effort under the guidance of an external incentive. The school in the process of providing education to is,  refines our tastes while adding glamour to our aptitudes.  Life is nothing but termed as a progress and education,  helps us to hasten it.  Ignorance is considered to be a curse on earth and it chains us to slavery of worldly wishes.  On the other hand education is the unseen wing with which we fly over all the odds of life with the help of our educators at St. Agnes Central School.

According to a Sanskrit saying education refines our tastes and subdues our passions making us fit for the battle upright.  Thus there is nothing purer than education and this with many others I receive at my temple St.  Agnes Central School,  Mangalore
